Following a high-speed police chase, damaged cars, damaged property and fearful residents Andrew Jones MP and local councillor Phil Ireland are lobbying North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC) to take action.
The area has been a hotspot for poor road safety for decades and Andrew and Phil have raised problems for pedestrians previously.
But problems with speeding traffic and so-called boy racers have become much worse in recent months. Andrew and Phil have written to residents in the area asking them to let them know their experiences with speeding vehicles and pedestrian safety in the area so that they can use this information to support their case to the county council.
