Andrew Jones MP’s first Instagram question time takes place this week as part of UK Parliament Week.
Andrew is asking residents to submit their questions about Parliamentary processes, history and customs for this online Q&A session.
UK Parliament Week (UKPW) is an annual event, spreading the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how people can get involved. Last year over 1.1 million people took part in every nation and region of the UK and from countries all over the world.
Mr Jones commented: “Parliament should be accessible to everybody. That’s why I want to demystify the terms, processes and traditions that surround parliamentary business. If you want to know more about how Parliament works please do join in on Instagram.
“I am particularly keen to hear from students as our local schools. Education about how Parliament works and how laws are made is important particularly for those who might want to study history or politics at university.”
You can post your question on Andrew’s Instagram page, andrewjonesmp, using the ‘stories’ feature which can be accessed by clicking Andrew’s profile picture.
Questions can be put from 12noon on Thursday 17 November. The most popular topics will be chosen for video explanations by Andrew which will be published from Friday 18 November.
