Harrogate MP Andrew Jones acted quickly when local company, L & N Candles, found out that their paperwork had not been processed correctly meaning they were to miss out on a stall at the successful Christmas Fayre this week.
Co-owner Laura Berryman contacted Andrew who contacted the council on her behalf. They in turn contacted the organisers, Market Place Europe, and before the day was out Laura had received confirmation that she would get a pitch after all.
While visiting the Harrogate market Andrew popped in and bought a candle at the stall on Cambridge Street from Laura and her business partner Natalie. Andrew went on to visit other stalls including the charity stall featuring Harrogate Town Football Club and then on to the Little Bird artisan market in the Valley Gardens.
It was on to Knaresborough then where Andrew met the fabulous Knaresborough Rotary Club and the Knaresborough Lions and visited stallholders in what was a very busy market. There were many local companies represented including Turning Point brewery (pictured above).
