Cllr Tim Myatt and the Devonshire Gardens Residents Association met with council officers again in early November to discuss the condition of the open space and plans for the access road to the new development.
Council officers have requested that the developer conduct significant replanting and repairs to the open space, which is not to the standard required. This work will take place across the winter and into spring.
Plans for the access road were also discussed, including the inclusion of speed reduction measures and safety railings.
Cllr Tim Myatt said: “Residents were disappointed when the road through the public open space was granted planning permission. I will continue working with local residents to ensure that the remaining space is of a high quality and that people using the space are protected from traffic using the road to access the new development.”
