Knaresborough MP Andrew Jones won assurances in Parliament today that North Yorkshire would be in the bidding process for extra zero emission bus services. In Commons Transport questions Mr Jones highlighted the brilliant electric bus services in Harrogate and called for new electric bus services to Knaresborough.
In response the Transport Minister, Trudi Harrison, highlighted the extra funding for zero emission bus schemes and confirmed that the Government was talking to 17 transport authorities about new bids for funding – including North Yorkshire.
