High Harrogate councillor Tim Myatt has joined Conservative councillors for Bilton, Matt Scott and Paul Haslam, in welcoming the installation of CCTV at the Iron Bridge. The councillors have been working with Harrogate Borough Council’s community safety team and local police officers to respond to a flurry of incidents in the area. The CCTV will be in place for at least six weeks, with the possibility of a longer period should the camera be successful in deterring crime.
Tim Myatt said: ‘I am grateful for the work that has gone into securing this camera. It has been a multi-agency effort involving council officers, the police and fellow councillors. We will continue to focus on improving public safety for residents and visitors.”
