Harrogate & Knaresborough MP, Andrew Jones, has today requested that the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport provides MPs and Peers with regular updates as work continues to reinstate tv and radio signals.
During today’s Business Questions in the House of Commons, Andrew Jones made his request to the Leader of the House, The Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg. Mr Jones has met with DCMS Ministers and Arqiva to offer assistance and encourage speedy resolutions to the loss of signal.
“I am grateful to Arqiva and DCMS ministers for taking the time to meet and discuss such an important regional issue. It is good to see Arqiva working to deliver the temporary mast at the Bilsdale site, which will restore TV and radio signals for thousands of households. This is a moment we knew would be coming and it is welcome that all parties concerned have worked quickly to resolve landowner and judicial matters.Andrew Jones, MP for Harrogate & Knaresborough
The work ahead is significant, but their team are working at pace and I look forward to the restoration of the signal as soon as possible. I have met with Arqiva and pressed the case on behalf of constituents affected and will continue to do so until we have the full restoration.”
