After making enquiries, Cllr Sam Gibbs reports that work is due to finally begin on the first phase of the Otley Road cycleway next month. Covid and other issues have seen the project delayed on a number of occasions but tenders for the contract were submitted in July.
The first stage of the project will include some much needed junction improvements. This will include the busy junction of Otley Road and Harlow Moor Road which will be widened with new left and right turn lanes added.
Two further stages of the project will follow which will see the cycleway extended up to Cardale Park.
