Street cleaning to take place on Glebe Road and Glebe Avenue.

Residents living on Glebe Road and Glebe Avenue will be aware of silt and debris that has built up on the road and pavements over recent months.

Harrogate Borough Council has agreed to carry out a deep clean of these streets in the coming weeks. It is hoped that the work will be undertaken the week

beginning 14 June. In order to carry out the works a temporary parking suspension will need to be put in place. These roads are worse affected than other surrounding roads due to the trees that line the roads.

Cllr Sam Gibbs commented: “The silt that has built up during the recent period of wet weather makes the roads and pavements very slippery. The fact that cars usually park down both sides of these roads make it difficult for these roads to be swept effectively and necessitate the need for a temporary parking suspension.”
