With the popularity of the Nidderdale Greenway more parking, some of it inconsiderate, has brought safety concerns at the bottom of Bilton Lane.

Local councillors Matt Scott and Paul Haslam have asked Harrogate Council, who own the small car park, to look at changing the layout of the area to create more spaces for cars that would otherwise park on the road obscuring sight lines and narrowing the road for residents of Old Bilton and the caravan park.
