MP Andrew Jones and local councillor Richard Cooper are calling representatives of the local police and council together to get action on crime problems in the Mayfield Grove area of Harrogate.
Police have worked hard on county lines drug dealing in the area making several arrests over the last few months. But recently the situation has deteriorated again culminating in the alleged murder of a man on the road last week.
Andrew Jones commented: “These are incredibly difficult and deep-seated issues. Many of those involved have long-standing homelessness, mental health and addiction problems and both the government and the council have dedicated a lot of cash and resource to these issues.”
