A controversial planning application for a drive thru coffee stop on the site of a former dentists near Woodlands junction has been sent to the planning inspectorate following an appeal by the developers.
The appeal came after repeated applications to use the site over many years were turned down by councillors on Harrogate Council’s planning committee. The reasons for the latest refusal are:
1. Congestion and road safety concerns caused by entrance and exits to the site.
2. Negative effect on air quality at Woodlands junction.
3. Negative effect on the amenity of nearby residents.
