Each county councillor has a ‘locality budget’ of £5,000 per year to allow them to respond to local needs by recommending the allocation of small amounts of funding to support activities at their discretion.
Cllr Windass provided £500 to Brighter Boroughbridge and District to purchase decorations for the town centre to welcome the UCI World Championships in September.
Cllr Windass said: “I am keen to support more that can make an impact on our fantastic town. Sometimes a little funding can go a long way. Please let me know if there are other local improvement schemes you would like to be considered for support.”
